The National Board of Directors of Asproflor-Comuni Fioriti has been renewed. The shareholders' meeting confirmed the presidency for the next three years by Verbanese Renzo Marconi, who will be flanked by four Vice Presidents from various regions, confirmed by Sergio Ferraro (Vicario) from Turin, Franco Colombano from Cuneo, Matteo Roncador from Trento. With the new election Michele Isgrò comes from Messina.
In order to broaden the representation throughout the country, they enter the board of directors: Alessandro Muzina of Trieste, Gianluca Amazzini of Pistoia, Massimo Demagistris, MariaLuisa Stenca and Danilo Gonella of Cuneo, Luca Zanellati of Vercelli, Claudio Pignotti of Ascoli Piceno, Giovanni Bertone of Novara, Giuseppe Traverso of Rome and Davide Comba of Turin. They are reconfirmed, Carlo and Franco Baglione of Vercelli, Luca Barberis of Cuneo, Davide Panetto of Turin, Gianfranco Martinelli of Novara, Renato Ioan of Padua, Fabio Brignone of Sassari, Simone Cargnino and Alberto Peyron of Turin and Livio Piumatto of Cuneo.
Rich and articulated the program of the meeting, with reference to the flowering competitions "Fiori Comuni" involving various municipal administrations in Italy, "Entente Florale Europe" for Europe and "Communities in Bloom" in the world of which Asproflor is Sole referent in Italy. Also addressing sectoral issues including the transposition of the European directive on invasive exotic plants, professional training of a gardener's figure, recent changes in plant protection products and the updating of the regional PSR call barring.
It is also about introducing innovative plant marketing systems through a marketplace called Expoplant.
In conclusion, the assembly voted unanimously to join the "national co-ordination of the floriculture and landscape chain", a body newly established in Rome to give more visibility and greater weight to the sub-sector.
