The appointment of Giovanni Toffoli as the new president of the association was made official at the opening of the annual assembly of Assofertilizzanti. Toffoli, who has been on the Presidency and Board of Directors since 2014, replaces Francesco Caterini. From 2009 to 2014, still within the association, he was Chairman of the group of mineral fertilizers, one of the three sectors in which the association is structured to represent the various product sectors.
Giovanni Toffoli's curriculum began with a degree in Economics and Commerce at the Ca 'Foscari University of Venice in 1991, then the first steps in the field of fertilizers with important experiences and then landed in 1997 in K-Fertilizers. His entry into Adriatica Spa is dated 2000 and he is now a member of the Board of Directors and then, in 2012, Managing Director.
"I am called to lead an association that represents companies able to bring indisputable advantages to the Italian agricultural system", commented Giovanni Toffoli.
"Every day, this association works to do agriculture in a correct way with an eye towards environmental issues. - added the new president - The hope is that this commitment will be valued and not challenged by either the institutions or the stakeholders. Enhancing the sector means safeguarding the competitiveness of the national agri-food sector ".
During the Assembly the offices of Enrico Villa and Lorenzo Gallo were confirmed to Presidents respectively of the Groups' Mineral fertilizers' and 'Specialist fertilizers. A new position, however, for Felice Lo Faso, elected President of the Group 'Organ-mineral, organic, soil improvers and soil fertilizers'.
