The 2020 edition of Christmasworld ("Coming home for business") will be held in Frankfurt from 24 to 28 January. As usual, the event was presented to Italian journalists at the press conference organized in Milan on 19 September.
Event frame, this year, "Sonia factory", realm and laboratory of Sonia Peronaci, founder of the Giallo Zafferano kitchen portal.
Presenting to the press the trends for the next edition, the spaces, the numbers, were present the directors of Christmasworld and Floradecora, Eva Olbrich, and of Creativeworld and Paperworld Michael Reichhold.
The challenges to be faced are many and not simple, Olbrich explained, citing data showing that in the United States as many as 8,600 stores have closed since 2017 and it is expected that in 2026 there will be more than 75,000. The market must increasingly take into account the needs of the so-called "digital natives" and present the customer with shopping experiences without a precise dividing line between "worlds", online and stores. Therefore the director of Christmasworld called for ever greater collaboration between all the actors.
Christmasworld will show these new trends and offer inspiration to merchants in the four renovated pavilions of the Messe Frankfurt (8, 9, 11, 12), each of which will have a central theme of great attraction.
Last year there were 1,085 exhibitors, 79% of whom came from abroad (44 countries represented). Even the visitors were mostly foreigners, confirming the clear international vocation of the event: of the total 45,304, 64% came from 123 countries around the world.
