Who are the finalists of 'The city for greenery'

The winners of the 23rd edition of the "City for Green" award have been announced. The award ceremony will take place within Myplant&Garden 2023. The award, assigned to municipalities, public bodies, private structures and voluntary associations that stand out for the enhancement of greenery, is organized by the publishing house Il Verde Editoriale.
There are four sections (urban green areas, green maintenance, best voluntary initiative for the management of urban green spaces, special weTree award) and four categories according to the number of inhabitants of the municipalities, as well as a category dedicated to other entities, structures and associations.

“During the award ceremony, the winners, the reported and the mentioned with reference to the four sections and five categories will be announced among the Municipalities and Bodies awarded. Furthermore, the name of the female figure who was awarded the La Città per il Verde – weTree special prize will be communicated”, explain the organizers.
The award ceremony will be face-to-face and will take place on Friday 24 February 2023 at Myplant & Garden.
“La Città per il Verde” has as its institutional partners the professional fair Myplant & Garden, the Touring Club Italiano association and the weTree association. It is sponsored by: Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities), CONAF (National Council of the Order of Doctors of Agronomy and Doctors of Forestry), ODAF (Order of Doctors of Agronomy and Doctors of Forestry of Milan) and CIC (Italian Consortium of Composters).
The Award is also supported by the following sector associations: AIAPP (Italian Association for Landscape Architecture), PUBBLICI GIARDINI (Italian Association of Public Garden Managers and Technicians), AIPIN (Italian Association for Naturalistic Engineering), AIVEP (Italian Association Verde Pensile), ASSOVERDE (Italian Association of Green Builders), ITALIA NOSTRA (National Association for the Protection of the Nation's Historic, Artistic and Natural Heritage), REGIS (Network of Historic Gardens) and APGI (Association of Italian Parks and Gardens) .
The Jury met on 21 December 2022 to evaluate the projects presented; the jurors of this edition are the following: Francesco Sartori (former professor of Ecology of the Territory and Terrestrial Environments at the University of Pavia), Roberto Panzeri (Il Verde Editoriale), Renato Ferretti (CONAF), Rosy Sgaravatti (ASOVERDE ), Valter Pironi (sector expert), Roberto Diolaiti (PUBLIC GARDENS), Flora Vallone (AIPIN), Giorgio Strappazzon (AIVEP), Marco Minari (AIAPP).
