Enhancing a small outdoor area, such as the balcony, creating projects that will then be set up for the Festival del verde and the landscape of Rome (18-20 May 2018): this is the request for the "Balconi per Roma" competition, dedicated to young people.
In fact, the competition is aimed at the under 30s (agronomists, garden designers, landscape architects, architects, artists and creatives) and is open to the participation of young designers until March 16th.
"The initiative - explain the organizers in the announcement of the 2018 edition - wants to stimulate the creativity of the designer compared to a small and limited environment like that of the typical city balcony.
"The balcony is the external space, often forgotten or neglected, that characterizes the buildings of our cities".
The goal is to offer practical ideas and poetic suggestions to inspire the Festival visitor to transform his balcony into a small space to enjoy ".
Among the proposals will be selected ten projects that will be set up during the Roman event, now in its eighth edition and among these the jury (chaired by Franco Panzini) will choose a winner for 2018, which will be awarded in a ceremony scheduled for May, 20th.
