Aicg, the Italian Gardening Center Association, organizes the third edition of the Autumn Garden Festival, scheduled this year from September 22nd to October 21st in the garden centers throughout Italy.
The protagonist of the 2018 festival will be the cyclamen, autumn flower par excellence, able to adorn gardens and balconies, with its infinite shades and shades of color, throughout the winter. Not only will cyclamens be used in the laboratories and in the demonstration beds set up inside each single Garden. Many incentives will also be provided to learn about new plants, unusual varieties and suggestions for making original compositions. The Autumn Garden Festival also has a formative spirit: it aims to develop a culture of green culture in adults and, through teaching, actively involves children as well. The "Plant a bulb" laboratory will be re-proposed, which is aimed at the small budding gardeners, who in entrusting a small bulb to the custody of the earth, will be surprised in spring by an incredible flowering explosion learning the value of waiting and care to devote to what is held.
The Garden Festival d'Autunno is a national initiative that involves many gardening centers throughout Italy - members of the AICG association - and includes initiatives and common events: the "green" aperitif to greet the arrival of autumn based of aromatic herbs, maple syrup, elderberry and ginger (22 and 23 September), activities for children as "The grandparents tell" (a workshop with readings on the occasion of the Grandparents' Day on the weekend of 6 and 7 October), a great final party open to all (20 and 21 October).
 "The Autumn Garden Festival grows year by year, involving a growing number of gardens: last year more than 80 gardening centers joined the event and for this edition we hope to involve even more. The audience taking part in the events is also constantly increasing, approaching the world of the garden and rediscovering the fall as an ideal season, not to be taken for granted to the care of the green spaces ", comments Silvano Girelli, president of Aicg.
As part of the Autumn Garden Festival, the association has chosen to support the "Pink Ribbon Airc" campaign: for the entire month of October, for each pink cyclamen vase sold, the participating garden centers will donate € 1 to support of breast cancer research projects by the Italian Association for Cancer Research.
