The "Flower Show", a national circuit of market-exhibitions of rare and unusual plants, returns again this year in spring and autumn to bring color to various Italian locations, bringing the culture and knowledge of botany and gardening to every host city quality.
Born in 2008 with "Perugia Flower Show", this successful, young and dynamic format has never stopped growing and after the creation of the autumn edition always in the Umbrian capital it has moved over the years to other cities such as Ancona, Arezzo , Modica and Florence.
From the latter, the event will kick off on 1 and 2 April with the fifth edition of the Florence Flower Show in the wonderful Corsini Garden, a monumental place in the heart of the Tuscan capital.
The big news of the 2023 edition is the first edition of the Flower Show Circuit in beautiful Verona: the princely Giusti Garden, the only sixteenth-century Italian garden in the city, will host the event on 6 and 7 May. A green oasis ten minutes from the Arena where collections of flowers, Roman finds and a majestic avenue of cypresses, fountains, acoustic caves and a labyrinth of hedges among the oldest in Europe are visible. A path of nature, art and history that can be visited in a couple of hours which culminates with a belvedere from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the city.
The historic edition of Perugia will close the spring season of the Flower Shows which, for the second consecutive year, is ready to return from 20 to 21 May at Barton Park, a three-hectare park in one of the most crucial points of the city. The event will return to the Umbrian capital on 16 and 17 September with the Winter Edition.
In each of its editions, the "Flower Show" hosts the best national collectors and producers of rare and unusual botanical varieties with collections of plants that cannot be found except in this type of appointment: from lesser-known species of roses to perennials, hydrangeas, botanical orchids , camellias, azaleas, collections of citrus fruits, cacti and succulent plants, centuries-old specimens of bonsai, aquatic plants, pelargoniums, Mediterranean plants, bulbs, carnivores, tillandsias, aromatic plants and much more.
There are not only botanical wonders, the charm of the exhibition is completed by a section dedicated to outdoor and indoor furniture, combined with the highest quality craftsmanship and professional gardening equipment but also excellent food and wine and wellness products. in short, everything that is inextricably linked to the world of nature and outdoor living.
The Flower Show is not only this, the strong point and distinctive mark of the event is the attention to the cultural aspect, to the dissemination of the green culture in the city that hosts it: free meetings with the leading experts in the sector, gardening courses held by the exhibitors themselves, fun educational activities for children, seminars and scientific laboratories. Training the public is very important in every edition because the audience to which the event is aimed is very vast: from those who have never delved into the themes of nursery gardening and botany, curious, new enthusiasts to those who are more expert and seek in this type of event the opportunity to consolidate one's foundations and the opportunity to meet the most renowned names in the sector.
