Does green need maintenance? To report it you can call ... a toll-free number. This is the experimentation started by mid-June from the municipality of Cinisello Balsamo, in the province of Milan. Citizens, but also businesses, have available a number (800.995.908) available every day from 8 to 20 to collect all reports related to maintenance, such as pruning and grass mowing.
"Citizens from now on will be able to call the operator of the toll-free number, which will record the request and, in the case of routine maintenance operations (for example mowing grass), will direct it to the company's teams, who will program the intervention . In case of extraordinary maintenance interventions (for example pruning or slaughtering plants), the signaling will be preliminarily evaluated with the technicians of the Municipality about necessity, costs and priority of the intervention ", reads the press release with which the municipality of Cinisello Balsamo presented the initiative.
"This will ensure greater effectiveness in solving the problems already included in the contract, respect for the budget available for extraordinary interventions and, thanks to the recording of reports on a dedicated portal, verification of the company's work by the municipality" .
After the first six months of experimentation it will be possible to evaluate the benefits introduced by the new service, in order to confirm and improve it until the end of 2019.
