There is a time until 31 August to apply for new scholarships set up by Fondazione Benetton Studi and Ricerche on the theme of landscape and garden.
Recipients are graduates (postgraduate) and postgraduates from Italy and abroad who have not reached the age of 40 at the end of the call. The bags each have a value of 10 thousand euros and a non-renewable half-year term.
The Benetton Studi Research Foundation, in the framework of landscape research and site care, developed with its Scientific Committee, proposes semi-annual scholarships for the landscape named after Sven-Ingvar Andersson (1927-2007), Rosario Assumed (1915-1994) and Ippolito Pizzetti (1926-2007), three extraordinary figures, fundamental to the Foundation's scientific work since its foundation, whose cultural and professional heritage continues to inspire and guide landscape studies and research.
The scholarships are residential and directed to research developed within three thematic areas that represent the cultural profile and the operating field of the three scholars: Landscape Project (Sven-Ingvar Andersson), Theories and Landscape Policies (Rosario Assunto ), Nature and garden (Ippolito Pizzetti).
For the third edition (2017/2018) there are two grants, one for each of the two thematic areas Landscape Project and Theories and Landscape Policies.
For the first (Landscape Project) a research project centered on the theme of the relationship between historical garden studies and the contemporary contemporary culture project is required in Europe.
For the second one (Landscape Theories and Policies), a research project on the subject of high education in the field of landscape and garden in Europe is required, intended to build a critical and updated balance of the current landscape.
Candidates can individually present a single original research project, built explicitly around one of the two thematic areas. The period for the holding of the grants will be from 1 December 2017 to 30 May 2018.
