The hope is to find other solutions with respect to the complete disposal of the productive part of the Valmadrera plant, with the consequent redundancy of 80 out of 102 employees, as announced by Husqvarna Italy a few days ago. For this reason negotiations are underway with the parent company and a garrison of workers outside the gates.
Husqvarna Italia, Italian distributor of the Gardena and McCulloch brands, announced the transfer of the production of the McCulloch lawn mowers and the intention to maintain only the commercial part of Gardena in Valmadrera (in the province of Lecco). The closure of the production departments was announced by Husqvarna Italia during a meeting held at the end of May at the Lecco Sondrio Confindustria.
