A prestigious professional figure, recognized and appreciated abroad, in Italy the groundsman, the one who takes care of the maintenance of the fields of sports facilities, is increasingly in demand and is obtaining due recognition, moreover he still has ample employment opportunities for the future, while the specific training courses are relatively recent and offer great opportunities. These include those of the IFGI (Italian groundsman training institute), of which Francesco Dotto is president.
After explaining what the specific tasks and skills of the groundsman are, Dotto will provide an overview of the present and the future of green sports, and then explain what are the training courses implemented by IFGI within the Eima Green Academy network: a "Quality mark" for recognized and updated training for green operators.
