Among the best known landscape painters in Europe, Gilles Clément will conduct a public lecture entitled "Space and indecision genius of nature", Friday, 10 March (17.30), host of the Benetton Foundation Studies and research of Treviso.
The meeting is organized in collaboration with the Master in Landscape Architecture and Garden of the University Iuav of Venice.
Professor at the École Nationale Supérieure du Paysage in Versailles, landscape architect and writer, Gilles Clément has largely influenced the debate on contemporary landscape painting thanks to his work and his many theoretical writings on topics such as the "planetary garden", the "third landscape "and, even more, the jardin en mouvement. Among his accomplishments include the Parc André Citroën in Paris, the Matisse park in Lille and the garden of the Musée du quai Branly in Paris.
To introduce the afternoon will be Luigi Latini, president of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Benetton, and Enrico Fontanari, scientific director of the Master of Landscape Architecture and Garden of the University Iuav of Venice.
Admission is free and will be available simultaneous translation from French to Italian.
