Floriculture: record export

Flowers and plants made in Italy embellish parks and gardens all over the world and in 2017 there was a real record of exports, with a total of 832 million euros in revenue and a growth in the last 10 years of over 28%.
The numbers emerge from the analysis conducted by Coldiretti on ISTAT data and presented on the occasion of Euroflora. "After the collapse of exports recorded at the beginning of the crisis in 2008, today we are witnessing a decisive recovery of foreign trade with a positive trade balance of over 283 million euros", they explain from Coldiretti.
A race that seems confirmed also at the beginning of 2018 with an export growth of 21.5% in January alone. This is an important signal for a sector that in Italy alone is worth more than 2.5 billion euros and has 100,000 employees out of 27 thousand companies, spread throughout the national territory but with important districts in Tuscany, Lazio and Liguria.
