What are the most common injuries, and how can the risks associated with the work of the arborist during the pruning or cutting of trees be reduced? To raise awareness among professionals and training centers, and therefore future professionals on the subject of safety, “Sicuri sui Alberi” is born, a campaign with the patronage of the Lombardy Region ATS della Brianza.
In Lombardy alone, over two thousand accidents have occurred in the last 5 years involving arborists during pruning or cutting of trees, of which 660 serious and in some cases fatal.
The topics concern the reference regulations, the correct and safe use and maintenance of the main machines during work from the ground and at height, in tree climbing or PLE, what they are and how to wear protective equipment, identify good practices to avoid accidents .
"The campaign - explains Roberto Agnesi, Occupational Medical Director and Director of the UOC Prevention Safety of Workplaces ATS of Brianza - is designed to provide clear and easy-to-understand content regarding the provisions of the law and the correct use of tools for arborists, in response to the growing need for training on the part of professionals on issues of hygiene and safety in the work of the arborist ».
10 video tutorials made in collaboration with the main training institutions for arborists: the Minoprio Foundation and the Agricultural School of the Monza Park.
