As usual, the gates of the Parco Giardino Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio will reopen for the new season on March 8, on the occasion of the Women's Day (and the female public will be able to enter for free). Tulipanomania will also start, the famous flowering of tulips and bulbs, also accompanied by a photo contest.
From 8 to 10 March all visitors of the park (of any age) will not pay the entrance ticket, while for men there is a reduced rate. The park will begin to reveal the first signs of spring in its 600 thousand square meters of woods and meadows.
For the first Sunday of the opening, 11 March, there will be two free guided tours to discover the Garden (upon purchase of the entrance ticket and reservations at the ticket office), and all visitors will be accompanied by the delicate voices of the children of the Corias Galaxy of the Antoniano of Bologna.
With the opening of the park also begins Tulipanomania, the famous and spectacular flowering of over a million tulips that will color the park between March and April giving life to panoramas (and details) all to admire. And photographing: this year the park launches a contest dedicated to the flowering of its bulbs.
In order to participate, two high-definition images must be sent to the Park by 30 April 2018 (for details see the website www.sigurta.it) which show the tulips and other floral subjects of Tulipanomania.
The three best shots will be chosen in the early days of May by the Sigurtà family and the authors of the photographs will have as a reward a season ticket valid for entry to the Park for the entire 2018 season (which ends on 11 November) and the recognition " moral "to see their creations published on the communication channels of the Park.
