Solidarity initiative for Sabart, which intends to support, on the occasion of Christmas, the small producers of Belluno, hard hit by the devastation caused by the wave of bad weather last October, which brought damage to buildings and structures, but also caused the collapse of thousands of trees.
Broken roads, damage to buildings and plants, but also forests destroyed by rains and gusts of wind: the Belluno area has been brought to its knees by the wave of bad weather that has passed through Italy.
"As specialists in the forest sector, we felt deeply affected by this tragedy and decided to support local entrepreneurs and cooperatives who suffered damage to structures and production through the purchase of typical products of the territory" - explains Sabart's CEO Luigi Bartoli - "providing a concrete contribution to accelerate the reconstruction and put the producers in the best conditions to continue operating on the market."
For the entire Christmas period, from 10 to 31 December, in the face of a minimum order, Sabart will give customers as a reward to trust a kit of food and craft products originating in the areas affected by the flood. The food and wine specialties come from the Dolomiti-km0-Valcomelico circuit, which was created with the aim of promoting the high quality products of the Cadore area of the Belluno Dolomites, grouping small producers and local companies into a networked collaborative system.
The handicraft products were made by the workshop La Fosina, which since 1923 carries on the tradition of hand-worked wrought iron, producing exclusive artistic objects for the furniture, for the lighting of the house and for an original gift idea. An art that has developed from the manufacture of tools and tools for woodcutters and farmers, then evolved into the creation of ornamental pieces and furniture unique in their kind for originality and finishes.
