New trees to retard degraded areas, counteract soil consumption, and make urban contexts more livable. On November 21, the national day of trees is celebrated throughout Italy and there are many initiatives throughout the peninsula.
Many associations that are being made to organize the planting of young plants in urban contexts, sometimes degraded, in green spaces to be refurbished, public parks and gardens. The day was set up by the Ministry of the Environment some years ago and is celebrated around the world.
The initiative is accompanied by a general reflection on the importance of green and trees to counteract pollution, soil consumption and climate change.
