Products decidedly zero kilometer, since they come from the sixth floor: the Hotel Milano Scala is a vegetable garden on the roof and what is harvested is cooked for guests. The initiative began last year and a few days ago I updated data on the 2015 harvest.In two months of vegetable we were collected 25 pounds of tomatoes Cherry" and 40 pounds of "beef heart". Herbs (grown over the vegetables together with edible flowers) have instead allowed cooks and barmen prepare (respectively) 400 pasta with pesto and more than 600 mojito with mint on the sixth floor.The garden is part of the philosophy of "Green & Glocal" hotel, the first carbon-neutral city.Photo from Facebook page of Hotel Milano Scala"
